About
One person, one app.
StackUp is built by Alexander Papenfuß in Leipzig, Germany. Not a studio, not a startup with a roadmap deck — one developer who lifts and got tired of doing arithmetic between sets.
It started because every tracker I tried was happy to record what I lifted and useless at telling me what to lift next. That is the only question that matters standing in front of a rack, and answering it is not hard: compare the reps you did to the range you were aiming for, and adjust. The app does that, shows its work, and gets out of the way.
Promises
What StackUp will not do
These are worth more than a feature list, because they are the things that would be profitable to break.
No ads. Ever.
Not a banner, not an interstitial, not a “watch this to unlock”. This is a stated promise, not a current state of affairs.
Your data is not the product
Nothing is sold, shared or handed to an analytics company. There is no analytics company. The server exists to sync your log to your other phone.
The free tier stays usable
Logging, auto-progression, history and stats are free with no limits — not a trial, not capped at five exercises. If StackUp ever charges, it will be for things you do at a desk, not on the gym floor.
Why say this at all? Because the pattern is familiar: a good free tracker gets popular, gets bought or gets hungry, and the thing you relied on ends up behind a subscription. Writing the line down in public is the cheapest way to make crossing it cost something.

There is no support queue and no ticket system, because there is no team. Write to feedback.stackup@undisputed-dev.com and I answer. Bug reports, feature requests and “this is confusing” are all welcome — most of what is in the app is there because someone asked.
