StackUp

Roadmap

What comes next, in order.

The big steps in the order they are planned, the small ones that land in between, and the things StackUp will never do.

A plan, not a promise. This is where StackUp is heading as of today. It is not a schedule and not a commitment: I re-plan after every release, so steps move, new ones land in between, and some get dropped. Your feedback moves things most.

  1. Now

    1.5.2 is live

Released . Every release so far

  2. A web app for the desk

Set up your splits, fix past sessions and dig into your progress on a big screen. Sync stays free; the web app is the paid part.

    Subscription
  3. Bring your history with you

Import the workouts you logged in another tracker, so switching does not mean starting from zero.

Further down, less certain

  1. Health Connect

StackUp joins Health Connect on Android, so your training log and the data from your watch or ring stop living in separate apps.

    Free
  2. Log from your wrist

A Wear OS app that logs a whole workout without your phone.

    Free
  3. A coach that explains

The progression rule keeps deciding your weights. A language model explains why, in plain words, from your own log.

  4. Eating, as part of progress

Not a calorie counter. The idea is that the app knows whether you are cutting or building, so a stall is read for what it is.

Smaller steps

Along the way

Small things that ship between the big steps, whenever they are ready. They have no fixed place in the order above, so they are not on the line.

Exercise guides in the app

The form cues and answers from this site, right where you look at the exercise.

Free

A finish screen that explains itself

What the arrows mean and what changes next time, without having to guess.

Free

More exercises

Jumps, push-up progressions and single-leg work.

Free

“Why this weight?”

Tap a suggested weight and see the rule that produced it.

Free

A 1RM estimate

Your estimated one-rep max per exercise, from the sets you already log.

Free

A plate calculator

Which plates go on the bar, worked out from the plates your gym actually has.

Free

Body measurements

Waist, arms, chest and more beside body weight, for a cut or a bulk where the scale alone says little.

Free

Not planned

What StackUp will never do

The plan above can change. These do not: they are why the app exists.

Ads

Not in a free tier, not later, not ever.

A social feed

No followers and no likes. Your log is for you.

Streaks and badges

Training is not a game you lose by missing a Tuesday.

A paywall on your own data

Your full history, its per-exercise charts and the export stay free.

Mandatory effort ratings

Progression runs on what you actually did. How a set felt will never be a required input.

Try it

Free on Google Play. No ads, no account needed, and nothing to buy inside it.
