Cardio exercises

Logged with time and distance rather than sets and reps, with a stopwatch that survives leaving the app.

11 exercises

All of these train the heart and lungs; they differ in how hard they are on the joints and how much of the body they use. The rowing machine, the assault bike and the elliptical work arms and legs together. Cycling and the incline walk are low-impact, while running and the jump rope land on every step.

Pick the one you will keep doing. Long, steady sessions at a pace you can still talk at suit the treadmill, the bike or the stair climber. Short, hard intervals suit the assault bike and the rower, where you can push flat out without watching your footing. For conditioning with a load, the sled push and kettlebell swings are with the full-body exercises.

Cardio stays out of StackUp's up, keep and down marks: there is no rep range to judge time and distance against, so nothing is marked and no weight is suggested. When you log a session, the card shows what you did last time, so the comparison is still there.
