This is the catch-all for tools that are neither a bar, a dumbbell, a machine nor a cable, and what they share is that each does one thing well. The kettlebell swing trains the hip hinge fast and many times over, the sled push builds leg drive with no lowering phase at all, the ab wheel rollout turns a small wheel into a demanding core exercise, and battle ropes and the jump rope are conditioning.

None of them is essential. Add one when it fills a gap: a kettlebell for training at home, a sled or ropes to finish a session, the ab wheel once a plank no longer challenges you. The Turkish get-up is a slow, light drill in control, and the Svend press a chest finisher with a single plate. More conditioning work is under cardio and full body.

In StackUp, battle ropes, the sled push and the jump rope are logged by time and distance rather than sets and reps.
